Read MoreYou know I've been lazy in the craft/crochet department when you get nothing but Stitch Fix posts here. This has been the case for the last few months, but I'm ramping up on crafting now and new crafty posts will be here soon! In the meantime, back to the point of this post - my July Stitch Fix! I have somehow avoided the notorious cold that you usually find inside offices in the summer, so I actually left my stylist a request this month: please send short sleeve/sleeveless tops or cover ups that can go with some of the sleeveless dresses I own. She delivered exactly what I asked. Read on to see more!
Read MoreSo, today is the first day of July. I'm not sure how that happened or where June went, but that means it's time for another Stitch Fix review! I gave Melissa the usual "surprise me" instructions. Let's see what she sent!
Read MoreWe recently returned from a (very hot) trip to Las Vegas. It was a nice trip, but we had an unfortunate run in with a stomach bug that stole 2.5 non-travel days. This means we didn't get to go to a lot of the places on our list.
We arrived in Vegas on a Saturday afternoon and immediately picked up the rental car, checked into the Vdara hotel, and headed to the Wicked Spoon buffet in the Cosmopolitan. I had seen this buffet on tv several times in the past couple of years and was super excited to try it out.
Read MoreI haven't worked on a crochet project since March when I made the little lime people to take to my office. I decided it was time to start a new project as a going away gift for one of my coworkers. She likes sweets and shares an interest in cats (definitely not to the "crazy cat lady" level like me), so I thought it was only appropriate to make her a cat cupcake aka catcake. I looked around on Ravelry and didn't find a pattern I liked, so of course I decided it was a good idea to smash pieces from two patterns together.
Read MoreI haven't been posting much because I haven't been crafting much. That means you get an overload of Stitch Fix posts. It's that time again, so here's my May fix. I'm sure that everyone is aware of my "surprise me fixes are the best" motto by now, so it's obvious that I asked for another this month. In order to avoid spoilers, let's just say Melissa's picks for me blew me away. Read on for details!
Read MoreIt's that time... Stitch Fix reveal time, that is! This month I'm celebrating one year with my awesome stylist, Melissa. My only request this month was to focus on things with sleeves or things that could be layered to keep warm when they inevitably crank the AC at the office this summer.
