This week's post is a little different since I'm still being semi-lazy in the crochet department. Jeff is really interested in SpaceX and all the neat things they're doing right now (for example, landing the first stage of their rocket on a barge or even on land - super cool to watch!). He found this project on RepRage to build his own Falcon 9 from Legos. He set to work purchasing all the pieces and they came in last weekend (just in time to help him through the first 3 quarters of the Super Bowl as a Patriots fan).  This is what he built:

The Evergreen State Fair

The Evergreen State Fair

For the past few years, we've attended the Puyallup State Fair to get our fix of fair food and other fair activities.  We decided to check out the Evergreen State Fair instead this year since it's a little closer to home.  It was nice that the food seemed to be more traditional fair food than "let's see what we can batter and fry this year to make some money."  We got all kinds of foods to share with our fair-going companions, ZK and SC.

Philadelphia Trip Recap - Part 2

The second part of our trip was mainly filled with eating and lounging around the hotel watching the Summer Olympics in Rio (unfortunately via NBC's terrible coverage).

Day 3

We slept in and decided we'd like to try another cheesesteak for lunch.  I had surfed Instagram hashtags like #phillyfood during my trip planning and found a particularly tasty looking sandwich from a place called Cleaver's.  We walked over and ordered a cheesesteak with onions and American to split with a side of waffle fries.  I was so happy to find it was every bit as delicious as the picture led me to believe.
